Amazon Snuck in This Morning and Cut Well Over 50% Off Its Fire TV, but This Prime Day Deal Won’t Last

Save $200: Toshiba’s 50-inch 4K Smart TV is usually $350, but the Amazon’s Prime Day sale marks it down to $150. That’s a deep discount for 4K with Amazon Alexa voice controls. Only Prime members qualify for the 57% discount. Otherwise, you can expect to pay $350. 

If you’re looking to save money on a TV without sacrificing picture quality and some popular smart features, this TV is worth buying — especially if you’re a fan of Amazon Alexa controls and Fire TV. 

For a limited time, you can get a $350 50-inch Toshiba 4K smart TV for $150. The TV is available in other sizes, including 43, 55 and 75 inches. The TV is $200 off the original $350 price tag. I checked CamelCamelCamel and this is the all-time lowest price that I’ve seen so far for this TV. There’s no telling if we’ll see a better deal in the future so I wouldn’t recommend waiting if you’ve been thinking about buying this one. 

We got a glimpse of an older model of Toshiba’s C350 series a few years ago. Geoffrey Morrison, CNET contributor, said in his hands-on review had solid picture quality for a budget-friendly TV. Morrison also gave the remote special callout for its Amazon Alexa voice controls. 

The model that’s on sale during Prime Day has an AI feature that bumps up the picture for full HD by turning it into as-close-as-possible 4K quality. There’s a Ultimate Motion feature that reduces blur in fast action scenes, and a contrast booster that can help with picture color depth. Morrison has a few tips to make your TV look even better, and contrast is one setting that controls bright parts of images, so it’s not one to overlook in Toshiba’s features.
