Back in March, I was scrolling through Instagram Stories when I stumbled upon a recommendation for a citrus squeezer by one of my favorite food influencers, FoodDolls (aka Alia and Radwa Elkaffas). Someone had asked where they got their “lemon squisher” from, so the FoodDolls linked to it and referred to it as “the best lemon squeezer of all time.”

After hearing their glowing review of the citrus squeezer, I was intrigued. I have a different model I like, but this one seemed a little more effortless. So I bought one to try for myself, and let me tell you — the FoodDolls know what they’re talking about. This truly is the most amazing citrus squeezer.

Unlike a traditional citrus squeezer, where you load half of a lemon or lime into the bottom component and then push the top handle down, this citrus squeezer has you place the lemon or lime half in the middle of the tool, and then the handles push together from the sides instead of from top to bottom. This makes it super easy to squeeze and get a lot of juice out quickly.

My Honest Review of ToGeeKa’s Lemon Squeezer

I can be a little wary of products recommended to me on social media (I’ve been burned before), so I was delightfully surprised by how well this lemon squeezer performed (thanks, FoodDolls!). 

Its front-loading feature is what initially drew me in, and it’s also what keeps me coming back. Instead of using one hand to do most of the squeezing like I do with a traditional citrus squeezer, this one allows me to use the strength from both hands to squeeze at the same time. Plus, something about the front-loading feature feels more effortless. So while I’m using the strength from both hands, I’m not relentlessly squeezing trying to get every last drop out. It just happens easily here. Not to mention, I feel like I get so much juice so quickly out of this one (so beware if you’re looking to add lemon juice to taste, for instance). 

As we move into summer, I’m so excited to have this citrus squeezer in hand so I can make homemade Key lime pie (I love Key lime pie; I loathe juicing Key limes). I’m hoping this will make juicing those pesky limes much easier. Oh, and did I mention this little gem folds flat, so it’s also super easy to store? Yeah, I think this is going to be my go-to kitchen tool for a long time to come.
